Barbara Elsie Moore, 85, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018 after a brief illness.  Barbara was born on August 25, 1932 in Northport, New York to the late Robert and Elsie Byers.  She grew up in Greenlawn, Long Island. Barbara lived in Severna Park, Maryland before retiring to Fort Myers in 1977.  She was an active member of Cypress Lake United Methodist Church in Fort Myers. Barbara was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and cherished her family and friends.  Barbara never met a stranger, always enjoyed striking up a conversation, and loved to laugh. Barbara is preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Benjamin Moore.  She is survived by her loving children Karen Trippe (Mike) of Bastrop, Louisiana; Bob Moore of Glen Burnie, Maryland; Betty Bowman (Ed) of Dallas, Texas and Bonnie Moore of Fort Myers; four grandchildren - Billie Jo McKee, Christina, Brooke and Matthew Bowman all of Dallas, Texas.  Barbara is also survived by a special friend, John Garner, of Fort Myers, Florida. Private memorial services to celebrate her life will be held both in Fort Myers and Dallas.
