While originally from Schenectady, Lee and Burdette her husband of 49 years, moved to the Fort Myers area in 1976, Lee was an “energizer bunny” and loved to tell stories and eat spumoni ice cream. She loved and was loved by her friends. When she did get tired, she would announce “today is over for me”. Lee was active in the Indian Creek Park Sweet Adelines. After moving to Seven Lakes, Lee joined the Red Hat Ladies, played dominos and the organ, enjoyed the doll house and miniatures club, and discovered her true passion-feeding the ducks. The family would like to thank the nurses at Gulf Coast Health Center of Fort Myers and Hope Hospice of Cape Coral for their gentle and thoughtful care during Lee’s final days. A memorial service is planned for 2 PM, Saturday, July 29, at Harvey-Engelhardt Funeral Home, 1600 Colonial Blvd, Fort Myers. For those wishing to make a donation in lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Church of the Resurrection, Fort Myers or Emmanuel-Friedens Church, Schenectady, or the charity of their choice.
