Eugene “Gene” J. Gilvey, 92, of Ft. Myers, Fl passed away July 10, 2017. He was born in Bronx, NY in 1925 to the late Eugene Sr and Esther Gilvey. Gene married Florence Roache in 1946. She preceded him in death in 1962. Gene served his country honorably with the US Navy during WW II. He worked as a iron worker for local 580 in NY and retired in 1986. He moved to Ft. Myers in 1995 from Farmingville, NY
Survivors include his son Tom (Carmilla) Gilvey of Ft Myers, his daughter Jean Marie (Author) Swenson of Richmondville, NY, two grandchildren; Kelly and Steven and two great grandchildren Caleb and Gavin.
