Richard “Dick” Hassett Obituary

Richard “Dick” Hassett, age 81, passed away in Ft. Myers, Florida on March 17th, 2017. Born March 7th, 1936 on Cape Cod in Hyannis, Massachusetts, and was married to Virginia “Ginny” Hassett for 57 years. Survived by his wife Ginny, daughter Susan Hassett, son Shaun & wife Arden Hassett, as well as four grandchildren (Kaitlyn, Sam, Cameron, Meaghan) and Bother Joseph Hassett.
Dick attended Barnstable high school and upon graduation enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp (SGT). He played football in school and in the military, and was one of the founding members of the Cape Cod Marine Corp league. Dick was president of his own businesses, Universal Time Plan and Physicians Billing Systems.
Dick was a very caring and generous individual, and was always willing to support Family and Friends when in need. He was passionate about boating while enjoying tennis and bowling. Memorial donations to your local Hospice or preferred charities. Services will be private.
