Rosalue Ellen Singletary, 69 years old, of North Fort Myers Florida passed away on February 1, 2018. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Buford Franklin Singletary, daughter Donya (Andrew) Sushil, and two sons, Mark (Cara) Singletary, and Joey (Ashley) Singletary. Also surviving are her brothers, James T. Moree (Katherine) of South Carolina and Donnie J (Donna) Moree of Punta Gorda Florida. She has five grandchildren, Stephanie (Jason) Marra, Buford Sushil, Amanda, Alyssa, and Natalie Singletary and three great grand-children Blake, Bentley, and Vivian Marra. She was affectionately called “Meemaw” and was very special to many extended family members and friends. Ellen was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Sadler Lanier, Step-Mother Mary Ethel Moree, father James Acey Moree, brothers Gary, Marvin and Larry Moree and sisters Yvonne Conners and Lynn Moree.

Ellen retired from Lee Memorial Hospital after a successful 35 year career. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and dear friend who cherished her time with all. Most of the time you could find her in the kitchen cooking for family celebrations or playing with her grandchildren. Her back porch was a special gathering place with the good coffee and laughter. She loved a good shopping trip and vacations to the beach. She enjoyed going to church to worship and her faith sustained her through the later years of her life. Ellen touched the hearts and lives of many with her smile and generosity. She never missed an opportunity to give a big hug. A celebration of Ellen’s life will be held on Friday, February 9 th . Visitation with family begins at 1:00 pm and the funeral will follow at 2:00 pm at Harvey-Engelhardt Funeral & Cremation Services at 1600 Colonial Blvd, Fort Myers Florida 33907.
