Stella H. Goodall passed away peacefully in Fort Myers, FL on October 1, 2017 at the age of 95. Stella was born in Gary, IN on July 19, 1922 to the late Charles and Mary Andrews. She served her country honorably in the United States Marine Corps during WWII. Stella had been stationed in Camp Pendleton, where she served as a private driver for the Commandant. She loved her time in the military and participated in many Veterans events in the community. Stella had been a resident of Fort Myers, FL for 30 years but always stayed in touch with her hometown, friends and community of Crown Point, Indiana where she built a home and where her children became adults. She was a member of the VFW and the Women's Marine Corps League in Fort Myers. She was known to be very outgoing and fun, always living life to the fullest. Stella was a lover of chocolate and shopping, and had also enjoyed traveling throughout her life. A visit to Paris, France with her family was the only thing that remained on her Bucket List. More than anything though, Stella loved her family, and enjoyed her life as a mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her son, Keith Goodall, and husband, James Goodall, with whom she had been married for 25 years.
She will be dearly missed by her loving sons, James Goodall (and wife Carolyn) and Bryan Goodall; as well as grandsons, Jim Goodall (and spouse Jason Hammers), and Michael Goodall.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 2:00PM at the Harvey Engelhardt Funeral Home in Fort Myers, FL. Memorial contributions may be sent in Stella's honor to Meals on Wheels at 3429 Dr Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33916.
