Aaron Aicardi Young

It is with the deepest sorrow we announce that Aaron Aicardi Young, age 41, our most beloved son, brother, and family member passed away on May 28, 2021. Aaron took God’s outreached hand and entered into eternal glory so very peacefully. Aaron entered this world six weeks early on February 11, 1980 and was diagnosed with Cornelia de Lange Syndrome (CdLS). At the time of his birth, we were given such a grim prognosis but from that day forward Aaron proved that the medical community still had so much to learn.
Aaron is survived by his parents Tim & Angie Young, his “Paw-Paw” Raymond Looper, brothers Chris (Keaghan) and Justin Young, and his favorite sister Kendal Young. Aaron had many Aunts and Uncles who loved him: Tony (Alanna) Aicardi, Dorothy (Gary) Griffin, Jimmy Pat Young, DeeDee (Jeff) Kearney, and Lea Ann Braley. Aaron’s family also included nieces, a nephew, Great Aunts and Uncles, cousins, and Godparents. Aaron’s extended family, who provided him with day to day care and love, is the staff at Schneider Group Home and Shalimar Adult Day Training Center.
Aaron was preceded in death by his grandmothers Mona Aicardi and Mary Young and his grandfather Claude Young. Everyone that truly knew Aaron knew the joys of being loved by him and the physical pain when not so much. Although Aaron was nonverbal, he spoke volumes.
In honor of Aaron, we ask that you always be diligent in your day to day life so that when you lay your head down each night you know you made a positive impact somewhere, somehow, or in someone’s life. Each new day is an opportunity to be better than yesterday.
