Alvin Joseph Keller (March 20, 1938-July 23,2022)
Alvin was born on a small farm in Atwater Saskatchewan on the prairies of central Canada. He passed Saturday afternoon after losing a 5-year battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family at home in The Forest of Fort Myers where he always found happiness and peace. He was 84.
Alvin married and is survived by the love of his life, Mary. The couple just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. He is also survived by his three children, Christian and his wife Colleen, Michael and Margaret (Peggy), His sister Thelma Faraci (nee Keller). He was loved by, and deeply loved his five grandchildren – Mitch, Ryan, Caroline, Mackenzie and Ashley, Nieces and Nephews Elaine Fredrickson and John Morgan, Ian and Gillian Wren (deceased).
Alvin thrived on a hard day’s work. He proudly spent most of his working life supporting Mary from city to city in Canada and the U.S. as she progressed through her career. Before retiring, he was a sales and service manager at Honeywell in Toronto and Calgary for almost 20 years. Alvin and Mary moved to the United States in 1997 where they lived in Glen Rock NJ close to family. In 2001 after Mary retired, they happily moved to the warmth of The Forest in Fort Myers where they enjoyed a wonderful 20+ years of Golf, Bocce, and sunny days with the always close-knit community of loving friends in The Forest. He will be sadly missed.
A special thank you to Dr. Syed Zafar who dedicated years of unparalleled care to Alvin during his battles.
A celebration of life will be held at The Forest Country Club at a future date to be announced by his family.
