Ambrose Gerald Haggerty

Ambrose Haggerty, 92, of Cape Coral and formerly Willoughby, Ohio passed away March 19, 2021. He was born September 16, 1928 to Ambrose and Gladys (Rabatsky) Haggerty. He is preceded in death by his brother Donald and sister Mary Jane Seaman (George). Ambrose served in the U.S. Army during World War II and retired from General Motors as an industrial engineer. In his retirement, he enjoyed traveling, tinkering around the garage and spending time with his family in Hawaii and subsequently Florida.
He is survived by his beloved wife Charlotte (nee Mueller); loving children Thomas (Amy) and Patricia Huebner (Robert, deceased); and dear grandchildren Meghan and Torri.
The family will receive friends from 10-11:30 am on Friday, March 26, 2021 at Harvey-Engelhart Funeral Home, 1600 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida (33907), where services will be held at 12 pm on Friday, March 26. Interment will take place at National Veterans Cemetery-Sarasota.
There will be a memorial mass held in Willoughby at a date yet to be determined.
