Tribute

It is with great sadness that the family of Andrew John Dunn announce his passing at the age of 50. He was a loving husband, son, son-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend. He was born in Dublin Ireland to Aidan and Bridget Dunn. He grew up in a sailing family and loved being on the water in Dublin Bay. He was a sailing instructor and loved sharing his love of sailing with others. He loved cycling all over Dublin when he was a child and young adult. He loved his many pets through his years and loved nature. He had many amazing sailing trips as a child and spoke often about his trips to France and the Isle of Mann.
He graduated from Trinity College in Dublin with his Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, and Social Studies (four-year honor degree Bachelor in Business Studies). He moved to the USA and became a citizen in 2000 and continued his education here. He received his Master’s degree in Accounting and Financial Management as well as a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. He worked in the banking, financial, and accounting fields in Boston, Manhattan, and Ft. Myers. He became a Certified Public Accountant, worked as a controller, and finally opened his own CPA firm. He was a constant learner and continued his education with business and contract law.
Andrew used his knowledge to help so many people in need. He helped with tax questions, financial information, contract reviews, and non-profit fundraising. He also helped his wife create a non-profit that focused on helping feed and provide hope to orphans and homeless children in South America. He would travel there to help feed street kids and provide help to local orphanages.
Andrew met his wife Jamie in 2008 in Ft. Myers and they were married in 2012. He was a dedicated, loving, and adoring husband to her. He was an avid traveler and spoke 4 languages. He loved to go on spontaneous camping trips to the Florida Keys and all over Florida. He loved taking road trips throughout the US and Canada and exploring. When visiting Ireland, he loved to play the tour guide and show all the wonderful things that Emerald Isle has to offer.
He loved giving experiences to everyone instead of gifts. He always said that it’s better to make memories that will last forever! He loved his daily devotional and loved sharing his Christian faith with those he met. He will be missed by many and we will see him again one day in Heaven.
He leaves behind his adoring wife Jamie, mother Bridget, Siblings: Denise, Peter (Edel), Timothy, Charles, Louise (James), Stephen (Isabel), and Elizabeth (Gavin). In-laws: Bill and Diane, Ryan, Lindsey, Dustin, and Mari. His nephews and nieces: Paul, Carolyn, Siobhan, Sophie, Daniel, David, Aidan, Senan, Colton, Hunter, Landon, and Revan. He was preceded in death by his father Aidan Dunn as well as several Aunts and Uncles.
His celebration of life will be held on Friday January 3rd at the Burroughs home. The family will welcome guests at 4PM and the service will begin at 5PM.
