I met Buck here in Arkansas. We were neighbors for a short time and he was absolutely a joy to know. He was so kind to my brother and I. Sometimes he would cook and share his dinners with us. Those were some of the best meals I’ve ever tasted! We truly appreciated him and are grateful to have met such an Angel. He talked so much about his family. He loved you all dearly. I happened to think of him and looked him today to find this. I’m saddened, but grateful to have met him.

Tammy, I'm so very saddened to read this. Dave was a wonderful man who had a way of always uplifting ones' spirits and making people feel valuable and special. We've lost track of each other over the years (how they have flown!) but I have often thought of the two of you. My sincerest condolences and prayers of comfort to you.

I did not know David long, but I do remember how much we enjoyed having him here at the Sheriff's Office. I remember his journey with adopting Frankie and him letting us babysit her up front just to prove how lovably wild she was. He always had a good outlook to anything, instead of letting it get him down. He was always wearing a smile and quick to make you smile too. He will be missed.

Buck was a true worrier he was the guys that loved to go on missions and you knew if he was there you were safe. Buck was a kind and giving man and always thought of others before himself. If you were fortunate enough to know Buck you knew the endless stories that made you laugh, like the missing fishing gear or the Christmas light he tore out of some poor home owner's yard with his vehicle. Buck was truly one of a kind and will be missed.

My deepest condolences. Friend, teammate, classmate, we shared many early experiences together. No matter where I have been, no matter what I was doing, especially when times may have been tough, a memory of Dave would bring a smile to my face, and warmth to my heart. My peace be with you, and all your family & friends, my old friend. Dan Ferko '82

I never had the pleasure of meeting my cousin Dave, and if I did I was very young. I have heard wonderful stories of what a great man he was; giving, kind, thoughtful and caring to name a few. I know your legacy will live on. Rest In Peace cousin. Until we meet on the other side.
Your cousin Mike

Such a kind and giving man. He volunteered at the local American Legion cooking at fund raisers. He helped an elderly woman by repairing her a fence. He stopped and helped stranded motorists. Dave did that kind of thing, regularly. He will be sorely missed. My condolences to Tamara and his lovely parents. Bill -- one of his many friends.
