Dean E Spencer

Dean E. Spencer, 74, of Fort Myers, FL, died peacefully on 18 September 2023.

Dean retired after 42 years working as a custodian for the Brandywine School District in Delaware.

Dean loved his Philadelphia Eagles, Philadelphia Phillies and Nascar racing. He enjoyed fishing and spent several nights camping in the mountains in Utah. Dean was fascinated with trains. But his favorite thing was traveling with his sister, Suzanne. They enjoyed many great adventures together. Walt Disney World was where he visited most and Goofy was his favorite character.

Dean is survived by his sisters, Suzanne J. Spencer (Fort Myers, FL), Alicia (David) Forbes (Ogden, UT), and Candy (Bill) Yanchulis (Wilmington, DE); two nieces and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Erwin J. and Bette J. (Gebhart) Spencer.

We would like to thank all of Dean’s care providers, including American House Assisted Living, hospice, Preferred Private Duty nursing, and Hope Hospice.
