Dennis A. Welsh, 75, of Ft. Myers Florida, went to be with the Lord, at home peacefully surrounded by family on January 7, 2018.
Dennis is survived by; his loving wife Sandie of 55 years, his adoring children, George Welsh, West Bend, WI, Kristin Welsh, Milwaukee, WI, Scott (Michele) Welsh, Milwaukee WI, and Jennifer (Gary) Welsh Feldman, Mequon, WI. Dennis will be fondly remembered by his seven grandchildren, Amanda, George, Emily, Jack, Blake, Brooke and Mary Jane. He is further survived by siblings, Norbert (Buddy) Welsh and Kathy (George) May. Dennis is preceded in death by his parents George and Emily (Kelly) and his siblings Patricia, Jim, George, Jean, Phyllis and Lois.
Dennis was born on February 4, 1942 in Willmar MN. He graduated from Willmar High School and went on to study at Dunwoody in Minneapolis MN. Dennis and Sandie moved to Bloomington MN where Dennis worked for Inland Construction. In 1971, Dennis and Sandie moved to Milwaukee WI where Dennis started Inland Development and Inland Management. Dennis was a pioneer in the development of multi-tenant industrial, office and apartment complexes throughout Milwaukee and surrounding areas. He cleared a path for so many to succeed with his fiery personality. Dennis and Sandie moved to Ft Myers FL in 1998. Dennis was a dedicated family man and loving spouse. His family and friends will remember him as hard working, successful, mentor, generous, avid power boater...sailor not, world traveler and devout Catholic.
On Friday, January 26, 2018, 10:30am at Mass and Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Columbkille Catholic Church, 12171 Iona Road, Ft. Myers, FL, 33908. Memorials in Dennis’ name to St. Columbkille Catholic Church are greatly appreciated. Funds to the memorial will go towards local underprivileged children’s after school program.
