Doris M Mattingly

Doris Marie Mattingly was born on January 18, 1940 in Cloverport, KY to her parents J. Earl and Bernadette Beavin. She passed away on May 18, 2023 at Hope Healthcare in Ft Myers, Fl surrounded by her family.  Doris is survived by her loving family children Bill (Shelia) Mattingly, Cindy First, Sheila (Ben) Mabrey, and Duane Mattingly; 8 grandchildren;8 great grandchildren; 2 great, great grandchildren. Doris is preceded in death by her husband Bill Mattingly, son Darryl, her parents and 8 brothers  and sisters. Doris moved to Fort Myers from Louisville, KY in 1979. She was the co-founder of Mattingly Tile Co. and Mattingly Marble and Granite. After retiring, she worked at St Francis Xavier Elder Care Services. She was an active member at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church and was dedicated to her faith.  She lived at Villa Francisco over the past 7 year where she had many dear friends. She will be missed dearly by all. A Mass celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2023  at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Fort Myers beginning at 11:00 am.
 
The  family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, May 22, 2023 from 5 - 7 pm at Harvey Engelhardt Funeral Home 1600 Colonial Blvd Ft Myers, Fl 33901. There will be a private burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers you may make a donation to Hope Care 9470 HealthPark Circle, Ft. Myers, FL 33908.
