Frank Edward Kronk, Jr

Frank Edward Kronk, Jr., 91 passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 22, 2022.  He was born and raised in Amsterdam, N.Y. to the late Frank Edward Kronk, Sr. and Mae Catherine Knapik. His Mother died when he was six and his Father re-married the late Frances Briskie.  He graduated from Amsterdam High School and after working a year in Amsterdam, he enrolled at Florida Southern College.  After one semester at Florida Southern, he enlisted in the US Air Force and served in the 809th Air Police Squadron at R.A.F. Chelveston England during the Korean War. Upon his honorable discharge he returned to Florida Southern College, was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity and obtained his bachelor’s degree in Political Science. 

After graduation, he moved to Miami, FL where he met and married his wife of 44 years Carolyn Mae Casper who predeceased him in 2005. Frank and family moved to Pensacola, FL and then to Fort Myers, Florida where he resided for 59 years. He was employed by U.S.F. &G as an insurance adjuster for over 25 years and finished his career with Goldberg Goldstein & Buckley, P.A. where he made many lifelong friends.

Frank enjoyed life to the fullest, especially with his family.  After raising their twin sons, Frank and Carolyn enjoyed many years of travel and adventure, including cruises, and favorites Key West and Las Vegas. He and Carolyn also enjoyed their six grandchildren.  After the early death of Carolyn, Frank began a new phase of life but continued to enjoy his family and a daily trip to the beach or American Legion for fellowship with his friends. 

Frank is survived by his beloved sons Richard (Dorine Trond) and James (Janet Simmons) and respective grandchildren Michael, Nicolaus, Emily and Kristin, Megan, and Kevin.  His sister Patricia (Ray) Bollart and his niece and nephew, MaryBeth Moore and Raymond “Sonny” Bollart.  He was thankful for his many friends at GGB and was forever grateful to the bereavement group at Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord. 

A funeral Mass will be held in the Chapel at the Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord on July 8 at 10am and Frank will be laid to rest next to Carolyn at Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens following the Mass.
