July 28, 1998 ~ December 8, 2019 (age 21) 21 Years Old

Tribute

Gabriella Shea Qin Wen Swennes, 21, passed away unexpectedly from complications of Diabetes, Saturday December 7. Gabby was born July 28, 1998 in China and was the daughter of Gordon Swennes and Darcy Kuenzel.
If you ask anyone who knew her, they will tell you that Gabby was one of the kindest people they ever met. She was always smiling and was always the brightest light in the room. As a young child, Gabby had boundless energy and she and her sister Brianna were inseparable. She was incredibly dedicated to her family and was always the first one to arrange and participate in family get togethers. Gabby made friends wherever she went. She graduated from Bishop Verot High School in 2017 and went on to FGCU where she was pursuing her degree. She was an active member of Chi Omega, which was one of the true joys of her life. Gabby was such a sweet and caring soul. She always made time for her friends and family. She was everyone’s ‘go to’ girl, listening intently and never judging. She went out of her way to be a huge part of her brother and sisters’ lives, sitting in her younger sister Lexi’s room all night helping her with art projects and guiding her through life, or coaching her younger brother Josh’s soccer team. She spent as much time as would allow with her boyfriend, Max. Not surprisingly, their favorite place was Disney World, the happiest place on Earth. Like them. Most recently, she and her sisters had made a plan to start a business making bracelets and necklaces and giving a large percentage to adoption agencies. She was involved in everything.
Gabby is survived by her mom and dad, her step parents Stefan Kuenzel and Deborah Swennes, her brother and sisters Brianna Swennes, Alexia Kuenzel, Joshua Kuenzel, and Colleen Courtovich, her paternal grandfather Jon Swennes, her maternal grandmother Jan Dixon, her paternal grandmother Ginger Henry Kuenzel, her paternal grandfather Andreas Kuenzel, her aunts and uncles Mason and Anna Dixon, Jon and Audrey Swennes, Robin Swennes and Phil Oullette, and Toby Kuenzel, her loving boyfriend Maxel Miller, many, many cousins, and countless friends. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents Rodney Dixon and Cathy Wentworth, and her paternal grandmother Patricia Swennes.
