October 17, 1944- September 10, 2018
God saw you getting tired…and a cure was not to be,
so he put his arms around you and whispered, “Come to Me”.
With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away,
and although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us, he only takes the best.
Gordon Wallace Corey passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 10, 2018. Gordon was born October 17, 1944 in Brockton, Massachusetts to Harry M. Corey and Priscilla Corey. He proudly served in the US Marines. Gordon’s greatest joy in life was spending time with his family especially his grandchildren whom he loved dearly. He was an accomplished businessman, leader in the community and
mentor to many. He lead the way in the automotive and real estate industries, positively affecting so many lives. He was a very active member in the community serving and supporting many civic causes.
Gordon is survived by his loving bride Denise Corey, two beloved dogs Cali and Lady, and his six
children, Veronica Lynn Gibbons (Cliff Gibbons), Gordon Kent Corey (Jackie Corey), Christopher Paul Corey, Jeffrey Allen Corey (Debbie Corey), Amanda Brooke Hawkins (Beau Hawkins) and
Sean Francis Corey (Heather Finley). He will also be greatly missed by his eighteen loving grandchildren: Ashley Gibbons (Chris Pignato),
Gordon Jacob Corey, Jessica McCardle, Kaylynn Moll (Jeremy Moll), Candice Corey, Tess Corey, Kylie Corey, Samantha Corey, Tyler Hawkins, Cory Hawkins, Bailey Rose Wright, Brooke Hawkins, Logan Wright, Landen Wright, Brighton Hawkins, Hayden Corey, Allie Danforth, and Brooks Graham. In addition, his four great grandchildren Alix McCardle, Caleb Moll, Aria Moll and Mason Moll.
He is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Annette Holmes, Virginia Spaulding, Patricia Boni,
Judith Stinchfield, Bruce Corey, Ronald Corey and Dean Corey.
