Helen Patterson

Helen T. Patterson, age 100, passed away peacefully at home in Fort Myers Fl. on  June 2, 2021. She leaves behind devoted daughters Helen Penny Sargent of Mattapoisett Ma. and Sandra P. Secord of Englewood Fl. and E. Dennis Ma. and their husbands Edwin A. Sargent and Ralph E. Secord. She was predeceased by her husband of forty-nine years Stephen. J. Patterson Jr, sons Stephen J. Patterson III and James B. Patterson and is survived by loving daughters-in-law Sharon Patterson of Riverhead NY and Lauren B. Patterson of Jupiter, Fl., niece Judy P. Lanyi of Westport Ct. and grandsons Peter A. Cook Jr, Kyle J. Patterson, grand-daughters Alison T. Joyce, Tammy Hayon and their families, all of whom will sorely miss Helen’s trademark witticisms and lively conversation.
After residing in Roslyn NY and spending summers in Bellport NY and W. Stockbridge Ma., Helen expanded her intellectual pursuits through numerous adult education programs and club leadership positions. In 1999 Helen further spread her wings and moved to Fort Myers where she proved that the golden years can be inspired and full. There she continued to enjoy tennis and golf with many longtime friends.
Services will be held at a future date in Bellport NY.
