Jack Eugene Engstom, of Estero, Florida, passed in peace at the age of 91 on March 29, 2018 at Lee Memorial Hospital.

Jack was born in Des Moines, Iowa on October 29, 1926 to parents Bert and Marcella (Clampett) Engstrom. Jack served in the Marines and Navy and later went to work in Ludlow, Illinois as a Postal Carrier. He later moved to Tampa, Florida and became a Plant Manager for Duro Bag Company in Tampa, Florida and retired in 1992. Jack enjoyed golfing and bowling and was in the “Bowling Hall of Fame” in the State of Illinois. He was an avid fan of all the FGCU Sports. Many of the students who knew him called him “Grandpa Jack.”

Jack is survived by his sons, Steven Eugene Engstrom of Ft. Myers, Florida; Stuart Alan Engstrom and his wife Jacquelyn Aten Engstrom of Hollywood, Florida; and Stanley Edwin Engstom of Ludlow, Illinois; one grandson, Joey Engstrom of Billings, Montana; One brother, Keith Douglas Engstom; Nephew, Justin Douglas Engstrom; two nieces, Cindi Culbertson and Cheri Sutton; two Great nieces, Cierra Moore and Bailey Sutton; and a Great nephew, Brandon Carey, who always enjoyed playing cards and talking sports when Jack would visit. Jack is also survived by a grand niece, Brinley Sutton and a grand nephew, Brantley Michael Lynch.

Jack is predeceased by his brother, Richard Engstrom.
