Jacqueline"Jacki" Dunwody

Jacqueline Kaplan Panzera Dunwody, Jacki, wife of Lawrence Dunwody passed away in Fort Myers, FL on Wednesday, August 5, 2020. Jacki was born on June 17, 1953 in Atlantic City, NJ; her parents are the late Philip and Leah Kaplan. Jacki is survived by her two daughters and step-son; Amy R. Panzera, Julie P. Swartz and her husband Trevor of Middleburg, FL, and Jason Dunwody and wife Teelee of Fort Myers, FL. In addition she leaves behind four grandchildren; Ruby and Emma Dunwody, and Luke and Wyllis Swartz. She is also survived by her brother, Edward Kaplan of Philadelphia, PA. Jacki grew up in Philadelphia where she made life long friends. After her father's death she moved to Florida with her Mother where she made a few more life long friends. Jacki graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice in 1975. Jacki worked hard for the State of Florida, trying to make it a better place for many years, before retiring as a CARES Assessor for the Florida Department of Elder Affairs. Jacki enjoyed lunch out with her beloved friends, crafting scrapbooks for all her grandchildren, volunteering for the Jewish Federation of Lee County, and spending time with her husband. Jacki was and always will be a cherished Mom, Grandma/Bubbe, Wife, Sister, Cousin, Aunt, Niece, and Friend to all.  Unfortunately, no services will be held at this time due to Covid19.
