James ‘Jim’ Stephen Faulkner, 72 of North Fort Myers, Florida, formerly of Jackson, Ohio, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017 at his home. Jim was born in Portsmouth, Ohio, on June 3, 1945, to the late John and Maryann Faulkner. He was one of three children, and he graduated from Jackson High School in 1963. He was a devoted Ironmen and was part of the 1961 S.E.O.A.L. Championship football team, where they achieved an undefeated season. He cherished his classmates from Jackson and enjoyed going home to visit for class reunions.

Jim was the Director of Ohio Prison Industries, where he retired in 1998. After retirement, he moved to North Fort Myers, Florida. He was a 32nd Degree Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Mason and participated in many organizations, which included the Elks, Moose, The National Rifle Association and the American Legion. He was also an avid golfer, and he frequently made trips back to Ohio to golf with his friends and family.

His wife, Judy Hanna Faulkner, his children, Todd Faulkner of Mooresville, North Carolina and Laura (Tony) Ireland of Jackson, Ohio, survive Jim. His Grandchildren, Savannah and Sydney Ireland, Jack Faulkner, Nicholas & Emily Faulkner, Niece Cindy Hogue, Nephew David Faulkner and his special friends David and Lynne Lackey. He is preceded in death by both of his siblings, Ed and Jack Faulkner, as well as his Son Stephen ‘Jay’ Faulkner.

Jim was a loving Father and Grandfather, who could always put a smile on anyone’s face. A private viewing will be held in Fort Myers, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Lung Association. Condolences can be made at www.harvey-engelhardt.com .
