Jane Lucille Sears (McIntyre) was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all who knew her during her 92 years of life. She passed away peacefully on Monday, August 22, 2022 while surrounded by her family in love and prayer.
Jane will be remembered for her generosity, caring heart, wonderful smile, sweet personality, and commitment to family. In every role she held, she was always warm, gentle, and loving. She carried herself with grace and charm. Jane enjoyed traveling, playing the piano, golf, bowling, and cards. She had a keen eye for fashion and loved the color pink.
Jane was born on December 30, 1929 in Springfield, MA, to Francis and Mary (Burke) McIntyre. She was a graduate of Cathedral High School in Springfield, MA after which she enjoyed teaching at the Comptometer School for two years. She worked for New England Bell in Springfield, MA and New York City, NY after marrying the love of her life, James (Jim) P. Sears, in 1955. Together they had five beautiful children: Maureen, Ann, Teresa, Catherine, and Gregory.

As a member of Wykagyl Country Club in New Rochelle, NY, Fiddlesticks Country Club in Fort Myers, FL, and a resident at Cypress Cove in Fort Myers, FL, Jane made many dear and treasured friends.
Jane was preceded in death by her beloved husband, parents and five sisters. She is survived by her four daughters Maureen Siegel (Neal), Ann Berger (William), Teresa Avens (Marc), Catherine Sears (Kevin), and son Gregory Sears; five grandchildren James Berger (Amanda), Kathleen O’Brien (Daniel), Jacqueline Avens, Luke Avens, and Sara Avens; and five great-grandchildren Emily Berger, Jackson Berger, William O’Brien, Sean Berger, and Ann O’Brien.
