John A Rockeman, 78 of Fort Myers, FL, passed away December 30, 2021. John was born in St. Louis, MO on 11/24/1943 to Melville “Bob” A. Rockeman and Helen M. Bremer Rockeman who preceded him in death. He is survived by a sister Mary Louise Rockeman (Jim) Selzer.
John is also survived by the love of his life, Linda Langford Rockeman, whom he married on 11/19/1966. They have two children who survive him; Christina (Jim) Armstrong of Pleasant Prairie, WI and Jay (Krista) Rockeman of Broomfield, CO along with four grandchildren; Sarah and Ashleigh Armstrong, Makenna (Kevin) Fopma and Jack Rockeman in addition to many more loved ones and friends made and cherished throughout his life’s journey.
John retired at 62 as a management and sales executive after 40 successful years in both the hardware and software sides of the computer industry. One of his favorite achievements was selling the computer that operated the original scoreboards at the Kansas City Chiefs Arrowhead and KC Royals Kaufman stadiums.
John’s love of the outdoors didn’t extend beyond a trip to his back yard for a tee time, or an evening cruise on the water. His other favorite pastimes were a trip to the movies to see that latest release or watching a winning KC Chiefs game. He cherished family gatherings, teasing his children and grandchildren, and playing games as a family.
