Wife of Gregory Kent Bartels, Mother of Tony and Amanda, Grandmother of Stella Ann.

Kat was a proud mother and loving wife.  A gentle soul who warmed your heart when she came into your presence.  The scrunch of her shoulders, warm hug around your waist, and girly giggle let you know that you were loved. 

Her husband, Greg, reflected on how Kat loved her animals, art, riding motorcycles, Bike Night, and boating with Friends.  She loved being with family and taking family vacations.  She was a very interpretive dancer and made everyone smile.  We laughed at her fascination of muck bong. 

Amanda said she will miss her Mommy’s cooking.  Tony commented on how Kat made people feel happy, how she would persevere through tough times, and yet was always available for anybody. 

Greg’s brother, Uncle Rob said that what he will miss most is being called “Her Big Teddy Bear!”

Valerie admired Kat’s work ethic and commitment to her employers.  “She was a gentle spirit until you messed with her family.”  Brian loved the way she called him Dad, so sweet and soft.

Grandma Cashy and Pappy Chuck admired how Kat raised her children, and that it was a blessing when she came into Greg’s life and our family. 

We all loved Kat’s sense of style, the outfits she wore and the always changing color of her hair.  It was a true expression of who she really was.  Kat remains loved by all, and remembered by everyone in their own special way.
