Kimberly Ann Anderson

September 19, 1966 ~ May 8, 2022 (age 55)

Tribute

Wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and merrymaker, Kimberly Ann (Carney) Anderson passed away painlessly, free from worry, and most importantly to her — warmly. She was surrounded by her loved ones as she left this world and entered the next on May 8th, 2022 in Fort Myers, Florida at the age of 55.

She was born to Vincent and Shirley Carney on September 19th, 1966 in the center of the universe (to us), Youngstown, Ohio. Together with her younger sister, Kerri, the Carneys moved to Fort Myers in 1984, where Kim would spend the next three-and-a-half decades earning her associate’s degree, building her career in insurance and investments, and raising her family.

She had many names: Kimberly, Kim, Kimmy, Mom, Honey, and Auntie Em. But if there were one word to capture all those names, it would be kind. She let her love be known to all around her — then quickly followed up with a short “I’m sorry!”, an endearing trait that would often be met with a “Would you cut that out?!” or a “Yes, you are” from whoever was nearest.

Always the first to laughter and first to tears, Kim wore her heart on her sleeve and would always let those around her share in her emotion. Her greatest sources of joy were her children, Shaely and Aidan, a good day at the races, and her animals. Her pets were a lifelong passion of hers — from a hamster named Nipper, to a squawking green parrot named Poco, a feisty little Yorkie named Tuffy, and a scruffy mutt, Bogey.

Kimberly is preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Rose Bresnahan, Paul and Anne Domer, and Vincent B. Carney Sr.

Kimberly is survived by her husband Thomas Anderson; her daughter Shaely Carney Baxter and son Aidan Bliss Baxter; her parents Vincent and Shirley (Domer) Carney; her sister Kerri Beauchamp; her nephews Timothy and Tanner McCormick; several aunts, uncles, and cousins who she held dearly; and a senior-citizen pooch named Bogey.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022 at St. John XXIII Catholic Church, 13060 Palomino Lane, Fort Myers, Florida 33912. All those who loved Kim are welcome to attend.
