Words seem so empty when your hearts are breaking and yet we feel the need to say them. Our memories are of Alex, Helen, Lee & Chris in the wee flat in Shettleston Road and Lee was just a wee skinny but oh so handsome boy and the next time we saw him was over thirty years later in 2010 when we visited and surprised you by turning up at the lab. We had such a great night with both of you and Lee had grown into a giant of a man - not just physically but in personality and character. We're so glad we were given a glimpse of the lovely man he had become. God gives us the gift of memory and the ability to enjoy all that we've known of each other. Our prayer is that those memories will help to sustain you in the weeks, months and even years ahead and that you will know His deep healing of your broken hearts.

I knew Lee for a brief period of time, while he was still in NJ. I thought he was a great guy and always made me laugh. He was someone you could relate to. I offer my deepest sympathy to the Marshall family. Lee is a great loss to humanity. I'll see you in the afterlife buddy. -Rob-

I just wanted to let you know how very sad and sorry I am that Lee (or Leroy as I called him) has passed away. I knew him well and always liked him. While I am comforted by that fact that he is no longer suffering, I am deeply saddened by his passing and just wanted to express my sincere condolences. As Abraham Lincoln once wrote, "I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost."

I just want to let the Marshall family know how special they are to me. Helen, and Alex I love you. Lee was that funny "Big Brother" type of guy to me, since I was always with Chris from my teens until Chris passed on. I hope you two watch over all of us down here, because you're spirits will live on forever with me and my family. I always talk about the Marshall's, and will continue to do so until the day I go.
