Leslie David Fine

Leslie David “Buzz” Fine, 62, of North Ft. Myers, Florida, formerly of Long Island, NY, passed away suddenly at home on Monday, April 22, 2024.

Born on September 12, 1961, to Myron and Greta Fine, Buzz is survived by his finance, Darlene Rivera, sons Kevin Hennessey and Timothy Fine, sisters Jeri Fine Schaller (Hermann) and Marti Renoud-DiPaola (Vincent), stepmother Janet Fine, as well as stepsisters, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and an army of friends. Buzz is predeceased by his wife, Clare Fine (nee Hennessey) and his parents.
Buzz’s great love of music, crazy sense of humor, dedication to fire safety, and many hobbies define only a small part of him. He was one of the good ones – despite the challenges life threw at him. Buzz was willing to travel great distances to see old and new friends, help those in need, and spend time with his treasured family and loved ones.

Interment is at 9:30 AM at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, 7800 Myrtle Ave., Glendale, NY 11385 on Sunday May 5th at 9:30 AM
A Memorial Service will follow at Temple Emanu-El, 455 Neptune Blvd., Long Beach, NY 11561 at 1:30 PM.
Shiva will be graciously held for all at the home of Sharyl and Geoffrey Rice at 547 East Market St., Long Beach, NY 11561, on Sunday, May 5th from 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM, and Monday, May 6th from 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
The family requests no flowers. Those who wish to express sympathy can consider donations to the Merrick Volunteer Fire Department, Empire Hose Company.
