Peter James Steinhafel, 58 of Fort Myers, Florida passed away on July 26, 2021. Peter was born July 22, 1963 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin the son of Barbara and William Steinhafel.
Peter grew up in in Mequon, Wisconsin and attended Dominican High School. He later moved to Charlotte, North Carolina before leaving for Fort Myers, Florida. Peter’s sense of humor entertained everyone who met him including his many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father William. Peter spent the last several years near his mother Barbara helping and assisting her with many tasks. She not only looked at him as her youngest son, but a best friend.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Amanda Elizabeth Steinhafel and son, Tyler Steinhafel. Peter is also survived by five brothers and sisters. Steve and Jean Steinhafel, Tom and Susan Steinhafel, Chris and Ann Steinhafel, Mary and Brian Peterson, Sue Ellen and Gary Burdette, as well as many nieces, nephews, loving friends, and neighbors.
A Funeral Mass will be held for Peter Steinhafel 11:00 A.M. Wednesday August 4, 2021 at
St. Columbkille Parish in Fort Myers, Inc., 12171 Iona Road, Fort Myers, FL 33908. Please join us as we celebrate the life of Peter Steinhafel.
