Phoebe Amelia Bergeron, age 83, peacefully passed away on January 9, 2022 at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Fort Myers, Florida. Phoebe was born on April 6, 1938, and grew up in Quebec, Canada. She married Roy James “Jim” Bergeron on October 3,1958, sharing 32 happy years together. Phoebe had a passion for being a homemaker, sewing, and knitting, all of which made for a warm and loving home. She continued her education to pursue her CNA license, wherein her passion for helping others led her to being a full time Nurse until her retirement at the age of 78. For 20+ years she worked at Shell Point Village, Sanibel Island, Florida with the end of her career in the Hospice Unit.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy James “Jim” Bergeron (1990), and survived by two daughters, Donna Bergeron Cabral (Craig), of Metairie, Louisiana; Carolyn J. Tyson (Steve) of Lakeland, Florida; Grandson, Jacob Reid Bustin (Courtney), two Great Grandchildren, Asher David Bustin and Ryder James Bustin, of Falls Church, Virginia; and her sister, Anna Willis of Quebec, Canada.
A memorial service for Phoebe will be held at a later date.
