Phyllis (June) Haley Brooks, 93, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away at 1:00 pm on, May 22, 2020 at Florida Gulf Coast Hospital in Fort Myers, Florida. She was born May 31, 1926 in Laclede, Missouri to Emmett A. Haley and Charlotte C. Haley. She was a graduate of Laclede High School. June married John Leonard Brooks, Jr., on July 25, 1947 in Amarillo, Texas. June was a bookkeeper and a housewife. She and Billy shared a love for travel, making cross country and global trips around the world in their RV Motor Coach for nearly 25 years an annual tradition. She loved to dance when she had the chance and loved to be amongst social gatherings with her family and friends. June adored her grandchildren and was awaiting to soon be a great grandmother. She had an independent spirit and instilled it all to her siblings and grandchildren. She is survived by son Phillip Wayne Brooks and wife Lynda and Timothy Glen Brooks and wife Kim; Grandchildren, Melissa Brooks, Amanda Brooks Skalko and husband Jason, Joshua Robert Brooks and wife Laura, Jacob Brooks of Fort Myers, Florida and several nieces and nephews. June will be joining her husband Billy and many other friends and family members. Visitation: A private gathering with family will be Friday, May 29, 2020 at Harvey-Engelhardt Funeral and Cremation Services at 3:00pm.
