RAY B. SINGLETON, JR.

APRIL 28, 1942 - MARCH 27, 2021
Ray B. Singleton, Jr.,78, went home to be with the Lord on March 27, 2021. Ray was born in Fort Myers, Florida on April 28, 1942 and graduated from Fort Myers High School in 1960. An avid boater and fisherman, he loved the water. In 1965, he joined the team at Florida Power & Light where he worked as an electrician (known as the “Captain”) at the Fort Myers Plant for over 35 years until his retirement.

Ray is survived by his wife of 60 years, Helen Barley Singleton, son Donald “Donnie” Ray Singleton, daughter Reba Mae Singleton and son-in-law Michael Pilato, granddaughters Rebecca Singleton and Ashley Martinez (Jonathan), and nephew John “Johnny” Anderson; also numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ray B. Singleton, Sr. and Ethel Doxsee Singleton, sister Louise T. Anderson, and son David Ray Singleton.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 11:00 am, Villas Wesleyan Church, 8400 Beacon Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33907 with a reception immediately following.
