Robert (Bob) Eastwood, May 2, 1946 - November 16, 2017
Robert Eastwood was born on May 2, 1946 to Howard Tilden Eastwood and Helen Eastwood in Hobart, Indiana. At the early age of eighteen Bob married his lovely wife Connie (Johnson) Eastwood of 47 years on September, 9, 1965. Together they raised two beautiful daughters in Jamie Lee Griffin and Casey Lynn Blanchard. Bob and Connie relocated to Fort Myers, Florida in 1972 where Bob himself built their first family home. It wasn't much longer before his sister's soon followed Bob’s lead and relocated to Fort Myers as well to also build their homes in the same neighborhood and cul-de-sac. Bob was truly the “Dad of all Dad’s”. He strived to be the absolute best Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle & Father in Law to his only son’s (Johnny & Robert Griffin Sr.). He took great pride in being a Grandfather and dedicated every waking weekend minute to his Grandkids Robert James Griffin Jr. Howard Wade Griffin and Nolan Eastwood Blanchard.
After 47 years of marriage, Bob & Connie parted ways but still always remained the very best of friends. Bob then met his girlfriend Kim Warner of 3+ years who he loved unconditionally and wholeheartedly. Throughout his life, Bob remained selfless, giving and passionate about his family and made every sacrifice possible in order for the advancement of his “girls” and Grandkids. Bob’s happiness was most noticeable when he saw everyone else happy. Although he and the sport of Golf never fared too well together, he found true enjoyment on his bicycle after his retirement. It wasn't unusual to see Bob on his Bike sometimes 2-3 times a day. He also regained a newborn passion for Tennis and loved to be the “Jokester” on the Tennis courts. Bob was at his finest during the holidays and loved a celebration, regardless of the type.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Helen Eastwood and nephew, Joshua Conn and Jon Eastwood.
Bob is survived by his first wife Connie (Johnson) Eastwood of Fort Myers, Girlfriend Kim Warner of Fort Myers, Fl, Daughters Jamie Lee Griffin of Fort, Myers, Fl, Casey Lynn Blanchard and Son in Law John Blanchard of Fort Myers, Fl, Sisters’ Becky (Eastwood) Demo of North Fort Myers, Fl, Jennifer Lynn (Eastwood) Davis of Buckingham, Lori (Eastwood) Conn of Port St. Lucie, Fl, Brother’s Howard Tilden Eastwood of Hobart, Indiana and Darrel (Kyle) Edward Eastwood of Grand Island, Nebraska, Grandson’s Robert James Griffin Jr & Howard Wade Griffin of Fort Myers, Florida and Nolan Eastwood Blanchard of Tallahassee, Florida, several In-Law’s Richard (Rick) Boyd Demo, Jerome Allen Davis, Daniel Meulemans Conn and Kay Eastwood and countless Nieces & Nephews whom he loved dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at Harvey-Englehardt Funeral Home, 1600 Colonial Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33907. Memorial contributions may be sent to: Wounded Warrior project
