Roger McLaughlin was born in Torrington, Ct. He worked as a project engineer for The Torrington Co. (now Ingersoll-Rand) for 30 years. He was active with the Boy Scouts of America as a District Commissioner and was a Lieutenant with the Drakeville Volunteer Fire Dept. Upon retirement, he and his wife Dorris moved to Fl. in 1973 and built a new home in paradise. Roger had to keep busy, so went to work as a truck driver for Borden Dairy and Lee County School Board Food Division. He was also active in teaching defensive driving for AARP. Roger and Dorris enjoyed traveling and attending shows at the Broadway Palm Theatre. Roger is survived by his wife, Dorris, of 73 years; his son, Glenn; two grandsons, David and Patrick; and a grear-granddaughter, Kenzie.
