Rosemary Saccaro, 78, a long-time Staten Islander residing in Ft. Myers, Florida, died on March 18, 2018, after a battle with Lewy-Body Dementia.

Born to Gerhard and Rose Nitsche, Rosemary was raised on Staten Island, NY. She graduated from Notre Dame College (which became St. John’s University) and the College of Staten Island, earning a bachelors and masters degree in education, with an Arts specialty.

Above all, Rosemary was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend who made everyone feel loved, cherished and special.
