Sandra Lynn Thomson, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021 in Fort Myers, Florida at 71 years of age. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 9, 1949.
Sandra married John K. Thomson in Princeton, Illinois on September 11, 1987. They resided in Princeton, IL where she worked at L.C.N. for her career and loved being at home where she enjoyed gardening, crafts, and decorating their home until their relocation to Fort Myers, Florida where they made a home in Whiskey Creek. Sandra enjoyed time with her family. She loved life and it loved her back. Her husband describes her as “a force of nature” and remembers her lovingly as a woman who “gave but never took”.
Sandra will be dearly missed by her loving husband, John K. Thomson, children; Dawn Hoban (Chris), Keith Hanich (Luann), Michelle Schwindlein, Paula Lough (Ken), and Michael Thomson (Rachael); grandchildren; Mitchell Mares, Matthew Schwindlein, Nicholas Lough, Nathan Lough, Trevor Thomson (Savannah), Lauren Thomson, Ellie Thomson, Matthew Thomson, and William Thomson, as well as siblings; Robert Taylor, Mike Faustrum (Barb), Marie Brausam (Ray), Debra Seymour; and nieces and nephews; Jennifer Kapczynski (Tom), Kelley Whitescarver (Dave), Mark Faustrum (Ingrid), Phillip Faustrum, Tammy Reisling (Martin), Shannon Petit (Andy); and of course, her beloved Jelly Bean.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her son, James Thomson, grandson, Eric Mares and brother, Ron Faustrum.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 18, 2021 at 1:00PM in Whiskey Creek, Fort Myers. A Celebration of Life is also being planned in Princeton, IL in the summer of 2021. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to your choice of several organization which were dear to Sandra:
