Steven Patrick Minor

With great sadness, we announce the passing of our son Steven Patrick Minor. He went home to be with the Lord on July 24th, 2022, at Avent Health of Lake Wales, Florida, after a long illness at 55. Special thank you to Grace Healthcare/Lake Wales Wellness and Rehabilitation Center for the love and care of our son. We also want to thank his buddy, Mr. Joseph Rhoads, for his friendship and support.

Our son was loved by all who knew him. Patrick loved motorcycles, cats, and dogs, reading sci-fi, listening to classical and classic rock music, watching movies, football, baseball, wrestling, and playing video games. He always dressed casually in shorts, T-shirts, Nike tennis shoes, and baseball caps. Patrick was involved in church and a longtime member of Emmanuel Baptist Church of Fort Myers, Florida.

Patrick was preceded in death by his longtime stepmom Marlyn Minor, paternal grandparents Elza and Christine Minor, maternal grandparents Paul and Gina Arnett, adoptive grandparents Al and Peggy Welch, and uncle Neal Minor. He is survived by his father Steve and stepmom Debbie Minor, mother Barbara Arnett Minor, sister Tania and brother-in-law Matt Tanner, great aunt Mary and uncle John Paul Miller, aunt Darleen and uncle Ed Baumbeck, and step-grandparents Del and Bev Moore, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended spiritual family, and friends.

Patrick’s viewing will be open to friends at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 30th, with a memorial service following at 11:00 am at Harvey-Engelhardt Funeral and Cremation Services, located at 1600 Colonial Blvd. Fort Myers, Florida 33907.
