Wayne Dwight Oxender

I just discovered this tribute to Wayne. What a wonderful pictorial remembrance. Wayne and my Dad, George Stabenfeldt, were great friends. It brought tears to my eyes seeing the picture of the two of them (my Dad is wearing the drivers cap). They loved playing golf together. My brother and I joined them for a round at Pebble Beach! One time they visited my home near San Francisco after playing golf. They both had huge grins and grass stains on their pants having slipped down a hill trying to retrieve golf balls. I think they liked finding golf balls as much as playing. I had the pleasure of visiting Wayne in North Carolina, playing golf and enjoying BBQ. Great fun. After my Dad passed Wayne visited when ever he was in the Bay Area, getting to know my son Jack, who never met his grandfather. His smile and good humor were infectious.
