Wesley H. Rubenich

Wesley H. Rubenich was born February 4, 1949 to James Rubenich and Barbara (Glazier) Rubenich in Bucklin, Kansas.  He passed away on January 9, 2023 at home.  Wesley graduated Jetmore High School in Jetmore, Kansas and Wichita State University with a degree in accounting. He served in the US Navy from 1969 - 1973, with several tours of the North Atlantic. 

Wes married his wife of 53 years Sharon (Taylor) Rubenich in 1968.  He went on to establish an accounting and business brokerage firm, Ochs & Rubenich. During this time he enjoyed hunting with his dog and earning his private pilot’s license. Wes and his wife retired to Cape Coral, Florida in 2000. They became active members of the Cape Coral Cruise Club with Wes serving a term as Commodore. All during his life he had a love for riding and showing his horses.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon; daughter, Christina Check; grandson Connor; and his brother Jerry Rubenich, as well as many loving family members and friends.
