Tribute

Winnifred (Winnie) Hoffmann, aged 89, left this world to be with our Lord after an extended illness on May 18, 2022. A beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-grandmother, she had resided in Lee County for 62 years. She was born in Boston, Mass. on October 26, 1932 to George and Helen Moseley and was the older of two children. In 1954 she married her sweetheart, Werner Hoffmann, in Dorchester, Mass.

She was active in multiple civic organizations such as the First United Methodist Church alter guild, The Ruth Cooper Center, Ft. Myers Women’s Community Club, Board of Directors for the Salvation Army, Treasurer of the Juvenile Detention Center Advisory Panel, Pink Lady for the Lee Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and Cub Scout den mother. She was also the Administrative Assistant of the Ft. Myers District of the United Methodist Church. She enjoyed many hobbies including tennis, sewing, boating, flying, and traveling.

She was preceded in death by her Husband, Werner Hoffmann, her parents, George and Helen Moseley, and her brother, Fred Moseley.

She is survived by her sons Richard (Kathy) and Brian (Sue) Hoffmann and daughter Nancy Hoffmann Braun (Eric), as well as 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, a niece, and 4 nephews.
A Celebration of her Life will be held on November 5, 2022 at 10:00am at Cypress Lake United Methodist Church, Ft. Myers, FL.
