YVONNE T. NAMOUR
October 2, 1933 – February 6, 2024

Yvonne Namour was born on October 2, 1933. On February 6, 2024, at the golden age of 90, she joyfully and peacefully entered heaven’s gates. She is the daughter of Tanious Marieh and Marium Gobran. She grew up in Cairo Egypt, working alongside her father’s hotel, El Noor Hotel, while attending the American Mission College. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the American University in Cairo, Egypt in 1958. On July 8, 1960, she married Namour Namour and they were married for 54 years before he passed away on December 29, 2014.

May 1978 she received her Master’s Degree in Education, majoring in Administration and Supervision from the University of South Florida. Yvonne taught mathematics at Alva Middle School from 1973 to 1979. She then taught mathematics at Cape Coral High School and Edison College. In 1983 she graduated with her Specialist Education degree from the University of South Florida.

Yvonne spent her life teaching others about the love of God, salvation, and eternal life with Jesus Christ. She volunteered many years at St. Francis Xavier Church, St. Vincent DePaul Church, St. Martin Food Bank, Heritage Assisted Living, Church of the Cross, and Freedom Christian Fellowship.

Her greatest joy was to be a Godly mother to Phillip Namour (Melanie), Joseph Namour (Jenny), and Mary Groesser (Jay). She completely adored all of her grandchildren; Deanna Holly (Josh), Christopher Ceccoli, Danielle Menendez (Alex), Jesse Namour (Maggie), and Bethany Bell (Brady). She is a great-grandmother to Evalyn Holly, Micah Holly, Ella Namour, and Baby Boy Bell arriving May 2024. She is the beloved sister of Margaret Guirguis, along with 9 siblings preceeded in death: Victoria, Michael, Theresa, Elias, Amal, Theresa, Samir, Samia and Nabeel.

Her greatest legacy in her own words, “As I was growing up, I was always reminded that this world is a big theater stage. Everyone born gets on that stage for a time and then leaves it for eternity. The role one plays determines the eternity door- either to eternal bliss with the Lord or eternal separation from Him.”
