Managing Partner
Tim has been a resident of Lee County the past 47 years. He is and has been serving client families at the funeral home for over 26 years. He graduated from Edison Community College, then earned his state funeral director and embalmers license from Miami Dade School of Mortuary science in 1986. He is a past president of Cape Coral Rotary Club and presently serves as a member of the board of directors. He is a past president of the Cape Coral Jaycees and currently serves on the board of the Cape Coral Chamber of Commerce.
Funeral Director
Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Rachel received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences from The Ohio State University in 2002. During her college career, she volunteered at the Ohio State University Medical Center, where she assisted families who were waiting for loved ones in the intensive care unit. This experience proved to be very meaningful and inspired Rachel to continue working with families who were faced with the death of a loved one. She began her career as an advanced funeral planning family counselor in Ohio before relocating to Southwest Florida to complete her Degree in Mortuary Science at St. Petersburg College. In 2008, Rachel became fully licensed as a Funeral Director/Embalmer and has worked with associate funeral homes in Naples, Florida. She has ultimately made her home in Fort Myers, where she enjoys time with many great friends and family. Rachel specializes in planning customized Life Celebration Events and loves telling the personal story of every family that she serves.

Rachel has an incredible singing voice and was chosen to sing the National Anthem at the Boston Red Sox-Minnesota Twins Spring Training game at JetBlue Park (Fenway South) in Fort Myers on Thursday, March 10, 2016.
Funeral Director/Embalmer
Ken has been in the Funeral Business since he was 17 years old. He graduated from American Academy McAllister Institute in New York in 1995 with a degree in mortuary science. Ken worked as a funeral director/embalmer in New York City for 17 years where he perfected his trade. Ken moved his family to Lee County in 2011.

Susan E. Sardinha has been a member of our team since 2018. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Niagara University, Niagara Falls, NY and a Certificate in Funeral Directing from the Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service in Houston, TX. Her prior experience includes serving as a funeral director in firms in Houston, TX, and Sanford, FL.
Funeral Director
Roger Joined the Harvey-Engelhardt team in December 1, 2021. He relocated from Virginia to be near family. He currently is serving as a Licensed Funeral Director. Roger enjoys working and learning alongside the other team members who work hard and pursue excellence with passion in all they do. As a former Minister, he also appreciates opportunities to officiate funeral services on occasion to meet and work with bereaved families, hoping to provide some comfort in the process. He also enjoys hiking, playing bass with his church Praise Team, researching various topics, rock ’n’ roll trivia, puns, and coffee (but not necessarily in that order).
Certified Crematory Operator/Funeral Director Apprentice
Josh has been a team member since 2020. He has over 15 years experience in funeral care. He is a certified crematory operator along with a funeral director Apprentice. He is currently enrolled in Mortuary College and expects to complete his course in the near future.
Adminitrative Assistant to the Directors
Sharon was originally a snowbird from Marblehead, Ohio before she became a permanent resident of Cape Coral, Florida in 2000. Prior to joining the funeral home, she worked for Comcast Cable in the finance department for 12 years. Sharon enjoys all types of sports and spending time with family and friends and is involved with various clubs.
Funeral Assistant/Certified Crematory Operator

Steve comes to us from Fort Wayne, Indiana. He previously worked in the funeral business in the summer months. During the winter months of the past 30 years, Steve has totaled 2300-plus games working all levels of hockey, including the National Hockey League, with the latest team being the St. Louis Blues. After making Florida his home 2 ½ years ago, he joined the Carriage team and has completed his certification for Crematory Operator and is now working towards his Embalmer Apprentice with the State of Florida. Steve has been married to his wife Barbara, a school teacher for Lee County School System, for 27 years and has raised two boys, Adam and Cory.
Comfort Pet
Harvey began his training as a comfort pet in 2021. He is a mix between a Standard Poodle and Old English Sheepdog and 15 months old. These breeds are known for their intelligence, companionship and gentleness. Harvey came to the funeral home via Wolfhounds Legacy, a local non profit organization who specializes in service dogs for Veterans. Harvey continues to train with Wolfhounds legacy and will move on to complete his therapy dog training in the near future. Harvey spends most of his days looking for treats from the staff and greeting family clients at the front door.

Joe has been working as a part time funeral director since 2021. Originally from Plymouth, Mass, Joe owned and operated the Richard Davis Funeral Homes in Plymouth before retiring to Cape Coral.

Our dear friend and colleague Keith passed away in July of 2021. Keith was a valuable team member for over 17 years. He helped serve many families during his time with our funeral home. Although he is no longer with us, he presence is felt every day by our staff and as a reminder of his long tenure, support and dedication to our operations we continue to think of him as a part of our team.
